Abstract Submission for GK12 Exposition

Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28
Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill
Submission Deadline: March 19, 2010

Projects can present on one or two of the topics listed below:

  1. Fellows' STEM research and how it is connected and translated for an age/grade-specific classroom. Make sure the area of research is clearly identified.
  2. Communicating STEM: successful strategies for communicating about your project or your discipline or for supporting the building of communication skills (can include communication training)
  3. An international research collaboration; how it was developed, a description of the research that was conducted and the role each US and international partner played, any connections to the US school-based partners, any ongoing work, and guidelines and pitfalls to help projects interested in establishing an international research connection
  4. A description of the elements of the relationship/interaction between Fellows and teachers that are necessary to bring research to the classroom and foster student engagement; what you do, how you do it, how problems/issues with fellow-teacher partners and/or students were resolved, and what was learned that would benefit others.
  5. Specific examples of “classroom or project work” or “classroom activity” that have been successful and may be adaptable by other projects. This could include an innovative use of technology or lesson(s) that were particularly effective in engaging students.

Each project will have a 4’x8’ poster board and table on which to display posters and any other significant information about their work. Projects are limited to only two posters. Submit your abstracts below.

The submission deadline has passed, and this form is no longer available.
